CEO & Founder
Shinichiro Takahashi
After completing his graduate studies at Keio University’s Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Takahashi worked at Kokusai Telegraph & Telephone Corp. (now KDDI) and Hewlett-Packard Japan LLC. In 2002, he joined NTT DOCOMO. For nearly two decades, he has been deeply involved in the development and management of Internet Service Provider (ISP) systems critical to Japan’s telecommunications infrastructure. He also contributed to the design of various smartphone services, including i-mode and SP-mode, as well as a single sign-on design utilizing d-account—efforts that have benefited over 80 million users.
Takahashi has also been instrumental in developing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for emerging players such as SPLUNK and McAfee, key functionalities for mobile Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) at WinsTechNet, and the original Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) capabilities for A10, alongside solutions combining Firewalls (FWs) and Web Application Firewalls (WAFs). In a first for the security field, he demonstrated the importance of finding anomalies in unknown/unknowns by adopting unsupervised machine learning in collaboration with Ayasdi. He has also coordinated analysis requests and data analysis with IronNet in the mobile domain, responding to the growing proportion of SSL traffic in conventional carrier networks and the resulting need for advanced analysis technologies.
